Cambridge, London and the South East
I've spent twenty years teaching people to move better.
In studios, in village halls, and in living rooms. The room changes; the way I plan does not.
I'm Luda. I trained in Ukraine, where I took a Master's degree in how the body moves and then ran my own studio in Kyiv with three staff. I have led ten fitness retreats and taught groups of up to forty people.
I now teach in Cambridge and the South Cambridgeshire villages — weekly Pilates and Bootcamp classes, and one to one work in a gym, in people's homes and online. I cover London and the South East for private clients.
What I care about is that a session is planned for the person in front of me. Most people arrive having been given somebody else's programme, or having been told to push through something their body was clearly objecting to. I would rather find out what you can actually do today, and build from there.
English is my third language. I am completely fluent in a gym and still working on it in writing — so if you would rather ask a question by voice note than by email, that suits me very well.
The qualification, plainly
What a Master's in movement science actually changes
MSc in Physical Rehabilitation and Physical Education, National University of Physical Education and Sport of Ukraine. Most personal trainers in the UK hold a Level 3 qualification and nothing further. That is a perfectly good grounding, and it is roughly a year of part-time study. Mine is a two-year Master's degree in how a body produces movement and why it stops.
In practice it means I plan from mechanics rather than from a template — why a shoulder is not getting overhead, why a hip gives out at the bottom of a squat, which link in the chain to work on first. It is the difference between a session that is varied and a session that is aimed.
I work with clients who are cleared to train — and alongside your physio or GP where you are under their care, never instead of them.
