Who is responsible

Liudmyla “Luda” Tykhonovska, trading as The Luda Method, a sole trader based in Cambridge, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for everything described here.

What I collect

When you book. Your name, email address, phone number, and which session you have booked. If you pay online, the card payment is handled by the booking provider's payment processor — I never see or store your card details.

Before your first session. A short health questionnaire. It asks about injuries, medication, pregnancy, and anything that affects how you should train. This is health information, and UK law puts it in a special category — a higher standard of protection than your name and email.

When you message me. Whatever you choose to send, on WhatsApp or by email.

Why I collect it, and my lawful basis

Contact and booking details are used to run your sessions and to let you know if a class is cancelled. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.

The health questionnaire is used for one purpose: to plan sessions that are safe for you, and to know what to do if something happens during one. The lawful basis for holding health information is your explicit consent, which you give when you complete the questionnaire, and which you can withdraw at any time by telling me. If you withdraw it I will delete the questionnaire, but I may not be able to keep training you, because I would be working without information I need.

Who else sees it

My booking system, which stores your booking and your questionnaire on my behalf. It is contractually required to protect that information and may not use it for anything else.

My insurer, and only if there were an incident during a session that I had to report.

Nobody else. I do not sell your information, I do not share it with advertisers, and I do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.

⚠️ The booking provider will be named here explicitly, with its role as processor, once the account exists.

How long I keep it

Booking and payment records: six years after your last session, because HMRC requires business records to be kept that long.

Health questionnaires: for as long as you are training with me, and for three years after your last session, in case a question arises about a session that took place. Then deleted.

Messages: deleted when the conversation is no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop using it. Just ask — there is no form and no charge, and I will respond within one month.

If you are not happy with how I have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling 0303 123 1113. I would rather you told me first so I can put it right.

This website

This site is static and sets no tracking cookies of its own. There is no contact form — messages come to me directly on WhatsApp, where the conversation is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy terms as well as this notice.

The booking pages are provided by my booking system and may set cookies necessary for booking to work. Its own privacy notice applies there in addition to this one.

If this notice changes I will update the date at the top. Last updated 29 August 2026.
